Integrity.

Integrity.

- It's how you eat when no one's watching - and how you speak when everyone is.

House Keeping: - I read today that “Dysphagia affects at least 60% of elderly residents living in care, 13% living in the community and 25% of hospitalised patients - but 75% of cases remain undiagnosed and untreated.

”Thanks to Lina Breik (Tube Dietitian) for forwarding on the Dietitian Connection news … This is why I created the Commensality Comeback Model. I want to present this idea as a “think tank” conversation starter. So on that basis…

I’ve eaten meals that made me feel invisible.

Meals where I smiled, nodded, and said “I’m fine” - when I absolutely wasn’t.

Meals where I said yes to food I didn’t want, just to make “other people” comfortable.

That’s not eating. That’s acting.

Somewhere along the way, I decided I’m done with that.

Integrity - It's how you eat when no one's watching - and how you speak when everyone is.

I don’t and frankly can’t write a story that doesn’t resonate with me at some level.

If I’m going to sit at a table with you, in a clinic, at a café, or around the dinner table I need to bring all of me: That also applies to life in general. I am not generally a half glass kind of girl.

Integrity means being honest and consistent with your values, actions, and words - even when it's inconvenient or uncomfortable. It’s about alignment: doing what’s right for you, not just what looks good to others.
