Transition foods, snack grief and arguing with my GP about high cholesterol. You must be eating the wrong food & which part of I can't swallow isn't clear?

It took me 4 years to manage a hamburger

Snacks.

That word became and continues to be the bane of my life.

Snacks are something we all take for granted, I was never a big snacker prior to head and neck cancer treatment. What I was good at was crunching on vegetables or salad items whilst preparing meals, gooey cheese and biscuits, nuts I loved - especially cashews and pecans. I didn’t eat granola bars, biscuits, chips, nothing that wasn’t part of a planned meal unless I was hiking, camping or travelling. That’s a whole other post, suffice to say I am discovering ways around this as time goes on.
